North Little Rock Wastewater is dedicated to providing a safe, reliable, and cost-effective wastewater system to the community. Our goal is to protect public health and the environment while providing high quality service and customer satisfaction.

Wastewater facilities first came to North Little Rock in the late 1800s, although the Sewer Department (now North Little Rock Wastewater) was not established until 1962. Since then, we have expanded to cover wastewater facilities in Maumelle as well as parts of Sherwood and Pulaski County.

 

In 2010, we got a wake-up call when Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality put us under an order to improve our wastewater system. We dug in, changed our approach, made massive improvements, and earned our release from the order in 2018. Our efforts did not stop with our release. We clean our wastewater lines routinely, replace aging wastewater lines, offer programs to assist customers with their private wastewater lines, and work to stay ahead of the curve on environmental best practices.
